On the 15th of October 2024, the primaries 5 and 6 pupils of New Capital school Asokoro went on an educational tour to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
A total of thirty-three pupils and six teachers went for the excursion. We set out at about 9.30am. We were received by officials of C.B.N and taken to the museum section of C.B.N, where the pupils were taught the following:
- The origin of money
- Past media of exchange
- History of C.B.N
- How to identify real and fake currency
- Right and wrong way of handling money and
- Past and present governors of C.B.N.
At the end of the tour, there was a quiz section. Our tour guide awarded the following pupils with literature from C.B.N for their correct answers.
- Aliyu Abdullahi
- Abasiono Udoh
- Chidubem Ogalagu
- Chisom Kanuh and
- Dumininu Oluseye.
The excursion came to an end at about 1.30pm. All the children had fun learning outside their classrooms.
